Root Canal Treatment

A root canal procedure is performed when the nerve of the tooth becomes infected or the pulp becomes damaged. During a root canal procedure, the damaged nerve and pulp are removed, after which the inside of the tooth is cleaned, disinfected and sealed. The tooth will then be pain-free and can be used as it normally should be.
